Review: Bluebella Nova set

Probably my all time favourite set. Not that I wear lingerie to please men AT ALL, but this set really is a sure fire way to have him wrapped around your little finger!

In these pictures I’m wearing:

Nova bra – Bluebella – £34

Nova thong – Bluebella – £18

Before I even say anything, you can see how stand out, breathtaking and completely one of a kind this set is. The design is utterly incredible and I can’t believe you can purchase both pieces and will have spent under £60!! I do have the matching brief as well as the thong, although I don’t have any pictures (yet). The bra and thong have been in and out of stock since this set came out; and I’m not surprised they keep selling out! When I first purchased the bra, I had to go for my sister size (30 C – the only in stock at the time, phew) and although I preferred the thong, they did not have my size at the time, thus I ordered the brief, mostly to have spent enough for free delivery! Asos do also stock this set, FYI!

The brief is my favourite revealing brief purchase ever. They’re so comfy, you hardly feel like you’re wearing a master piece and feel more like you’re wearing your trusty M&S pair. Seriously, they’re that comfy! The fabric is of excellent quality, as is the elastic! Also, if you’re not into ouverts on the crouch (sometimes, let’s be honest, they can make your vag look weird), then this is a great, still raunchy and revealing alternative that you may feel more confident (aka sexy) wearing! My biggest problem with the brief, however, is that I don’t particularly think it goes with the bra! Wearing the brief and bra together, from the front, looks really imbalanced. The brief provides a very full coverage from the front, and isn’t very sheer at all… but the bra is as flesh flashing as they come!

The thong however, seems the perfect match for the bra! Risque, strappy, yet delicate and elegant all at once! My one critique, is that it is sized too big. I bought the size 8 equivalent, and it’s just too loose on me. I feel like I have to pull it too high above my hips for it to actually be against my crouch. This is the smallest size you can buy, which is a shame, as I’d have bought a smaller replacement had they sold one. I don’t quite know how this would look on hairier girls (lol)… as much as I love a good old fashioned bush, I’m not sure this style would suit. Prove me wrong though ladies!

The bra fits true to size. It suits my small boobs very nicely, but I’m not sure if the applique detailing would perfectly cover every woman’s nipple…? I did have to buy my sister size, and I’d be interested to see how a cup size down would fit me! If in doubt, I’d size down again with this one, I think you’d probably rather have a secure fit with this style.

The delivery is always very efficient with Bluebella, and I’ve never had any trouble with the customer service! Overall, I’d recommend this to anybody, and it’s honestly my best purchase yet! I still can’t believe how reasonable the price is for such a beautifully made set. The best part about it, is that it’s so astonishingly eye catching, you really needn’t pair it with anything else! I mean, how frustrating is it when you’ve payed £100 for a bra and knicker set, only to reluctantly have to buy new stockings/waspie/suspender belt/garters to make it work?! These pieces are the only two you need to take your body to supernova.

  1. My Nova set is coming tomorrow, and your review is just heightening my anticipation! But I agree. I eventually bought it through ASOS and had to choose the brief, and though I truly like the brief’s design, the not-matching coverage is a bit… frustrating. My lingerie pet peeve, one can say!

Also, you look really lovely in the set 🙂
